Public Speaking & Workshops
Every year I do many speaking engagements in regards to Remembrance Day and honouring our veterans. In addition, I do speaking engagements relating to my research and publications on Canadian military history. If you are interested in having me come speak or conduct a workshop at your venue, please contact me for availability and booking.

Canadian Military Records
There are two lectures/ workshops I conduct on Canadian Military records.
1. Introduction to Canadian Military Records - covers a range of eras of Canadian Military Records and is more general in nature.
2. Researching your WW2 Canadian Ancestors- specific to conducting research on WW2 veterans both casualties and those who survived. Includes navigating and making ATIP requests.
The Vimy Eight
This lecture is based on the research I have conducted on Swift Current's casualties during the First World War. Through that research, I discovered that eight men from the "Frontier City" had given their lives at the Battle of Vimy Ridge. Six of whom died on the first day of battle. This presentation delves into the personal stories of these fallen heroes, while also providing background on the battle that became a significant moment in Canadian history.

Remembrance Day
While I am not a veteran myself, many of my family members are/ were. Including both my parents. Remembrance and veterans affairs have been a life long cause and passion of mine. I am a active member of the Royal Canadian Legion, serving as the Public Relations Officer for Branch 56 Swift Current. I have three different talks in regards to remembrance:
-
The History of Remembrance Day
-
The History of the Silver Cross Mother and Her Role
-
Remembrance and Why it is Important
